Elmer Thompson

Elmer Thompson comes from the Ditidaht Tribe of the Nuu-Chah-Nulth Nation. Elmer has carved for many years selling his work world wide because of his adherence to traditional West Coast carving. Currently Elmer has retired from carving but continues to participate in the culture of the Nuu-Chah-Nulth people. This mask is one of the last pieces in Elmer's portfolio that has spanned 30 years of work.
