Gilbert Pat

The gifted carver Gilbert Pat was born and raised on the reservation in Sardis, B.C.  He has been carving beautiful works in silver and gold for 28 years.  On his marriage to a Kwakiutl lady he studied Kwakiutl design guided by many designers of his wife's family. Today, Gilbert's work can be found all over Europe and the Far East.  His unique style is being passed down to his sons, who wish to follow in the footsteps of their talented father.

included in many of the forms are the animals most praised by the Native People of the North West
Coast which include:

Eagle, Thunder Bird, Wolf, Orca/Killer Whale, Bear, Beaver, Humming Bird, Sun, Moon, Loon, Frog, Salmon, Copper Shield, Eagle Feathers, and the infamous Raven.
